As an EPIC Yoga community we are partnering with Moms Orange County to give items to expecting mothers in need with our Newborn Necessities Drive! Moms Orange County operates with the mission to help mothers and their families have healthy babies by providing health coordination, education, and access to community services. They provide the healthiest start possible for moms and children—making parenting healthier, richer, and easier.
You may have noticed the poster board in the studio with post-it notes that say specific items that are needed. Each post-it on the board represents a baby care essential that you can choose to provide to a family in need. Some of these items include: diapers, unused clothing, toys, books, and other necessities. Next time you are in the studio, feel free to snag a post-it note and bring back the items the next time you are in!
This opportunity allows us as a community of yogis to partner together with an organization seeking to provide health and hope to new expecting mothers in our area. Whether or not you are a mother yourself, we all understand how impactful and overwhelming the new season of stepping into parenthood can be. Lifting the weight of necessities is a powerful way for us to stand with expecting mothers in need and remind them that they are not alone.
